I try to make sure to participate in every FFXIV seasonal event. Even though the story lines are typically pretty basic, and the gameplay can be a bit repetitive, I absolutely love feeling like I’m participating in something bigger than myself. I love seeing everyone else also running around doing the same silly quests and over the years I’ve really grown attached to the event characters that repeat year after year. As such, I’ll be sharing each month either the holiday event for the month, or in the absence of one, just something fun that’s going on with me in FFXIV. Not your speed? Feel free to skip it, I promise it won’t hurt my feelings.
Heavensturn is the New Years celebration that matches the Chinese year. Last year was the year of the snake and we got an adorable little snake minion (fattest snake I’ve ever seen) to follow us around. This year is the year of the horse and we received the cutest little unicolt ever! I love it so much. I also purchased a screen to put up somewhere in the house, though I haven’t chosen where yet.
