I’m Kristina — the heart, hands, and imagination behind Little Dude Central.
I picked up my crochet hook way back in 2003, when I was still in Tech school in the Air Force. Like a lot of makers, I started crocheting because I wanted to create something special and meaningful. What I didn’t expect was how completely I’d fall in love with yarn, color, and the magic of turning a few simple stitches into something full of personality.
Over the years, I’ve crocheted just about everything — from baby blankets and toys to characters inspired by video games, D&D, and daydreams, but as I grew as a maker, I started to notice something missing in the crochet world: patterns that gave freedom.
So, in 2025, I decided to do something bold.
I launched Little Dude Central — a place where crochet breaks free from the cookie-cutter mold.
My mission is simple:

When I’m not crocheting, you’ll probably find me playing FFXIV with my hubby, sipping a hot cup of herbal tea, or reading old fiction novels (we’re talking Anne McCaffrey and Christopher Stasheff era), though I do occasionally venture into new novels.
